Save the Children Mexico is a nonprofit national organization that generates educational processes in children and youth through a participative culture. It has been working in Mexico since 1973 and today its program reaches more than 188,000 children in 16 states.
The organization operates through workshops with children, parents and teachers, having as first priority children’s rights and recognizing them as change agents.
Safeguard and Save the Children have been allies since 2009; together they developed a School Program around a Hand Washing Workshop and educational materials to promote hand washing in schools with vulnerable population. Also, together they promote the celebration of the Global Hand Washing Day with entertaining and educational activities.
